JSQ Commercial, LLC of Hinsdale, IL has announced that Rich Holly has joined the company as Executive Managing Director with responsibility for identifying and overseeing investment opportunities nationwide. Holly has over 20 years of real estate experience. Most recently, Holly served as Managing Director at Canyon Johnson Urban Funds, where he was responsible for investment opportunities in the Midwest Region.

While at Canyon, Holly oversaw investment activity in the Midwest and in the past 18 months led Canyon Johnson Urban Fund’s investment in two high profile real estate developments in Chicago. Harper Court, a $125mm mixed used ground up development in Chicago’s Hyde Park neighborhood in partnership with University of Chicago and City of Chicago., as well as acquisition of the Roosevelt Collection, a mixed use project in Chicago’s South Loop neighborhood.
Prior to joining Canyon, Holly was Vice President for JMB Realty Corp. where he was responsible for identifying debt and equity opportunities nationwide for JMB Financial Advisors. Holly gained valuable experience as Senior Vice President and Midwest Regional Manager for Countrywide Capital Markets in Chicago, where he originated, structured, and managed CMBS, mezzanine debt and preferred equity investments for its institutional clients. He also worked at KeyCorp where he was Director of the Private Equity Group, and managed the Central Region, identifying real estate mezzanine and equity opportunities for the group.
Holly joins a growing JSQ team committed to making and managing deal-level real estate investments on behalf of individuals and families based on years of experience and dedicated expertise in commercial real estate. “Throughout his career, Rich has originated and managed an incredible volume of deals with tremendous results,” says Murphy. “That history of success, coupled with his unique ability to lead, will be key assets for JSQ Commercial as we move forward."
